Open to new roles

Nice to meet you

I’m Simon, a senior product designer, budding gardener, avid woodworker, and wannabe cook with over 8 years of design experience across multiple creative disciplines. I’m known for my attention to detail, principled thinking, and ability to balance quality with speed.

After four years honing my visual design skills as a graphic designer, I transitioned into product design. I’m now in my fourth year at Zeelo, an award-winning scale-up in the B2B, B2C, and SaaS space. At Zeelo, I work across multiple products and markets, designing seamless, efficient commuting solutions that make transportation more accessible.

Design philosophy

I value practical, human-centred design grounded in clarity and simplicity. I believe in building modular systems that evolve over time and favouring well-established patterns over clever hacks. Products should be opinionated and easy to use by default, but offer depth for those who need it. I care most about what gets shipped (not what’s in the design file), and above all, I believe in keeping things simple to stay fast and focused.

Beyond design

Outside of work, I spend a lot of time gardening, woodworking, cooking, listening to folk acoustic, or exploring the outdoors. I’m an endlessly curious person, always learning, whether that’s experimenting with woodworking joints, propagating cuttings, or reading about systems thinking. These hands-on, grounding hobbies keep me energised and sharp, and they’ve shaped how I think, build, and problem-solve as a designer.
